The fuel consumption or electric range achieved, and CO₂ produced, in real world conditions will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to: the accessories fitted (pre and post registration); the starting charge of the battery; variations in weather; driving styles and vehicle load. The New 308 Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid range requires mains electricity for charging. The WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is used to measure fuel consumption, electric range and CO₂ figures. Figures shown are for comparison purposes and should only be compared to the fuel consumption, electric range and CO₂values of other cars tested to the same technical standard. The figures displayed for the plug-in HYBRID range were obtained using a combination of battery power and fuel.

Official Fuel Consumption in MPG (l/100km) and CO₂ emissions (g/km) for the 308 Plug-In Hybrid are: Combined 106.9(2.6) - 148.1(1.9) and CO₂ 43 - 60g/km. Equivalent All Electric Range: 54 - 57 miles.

Official Fuel Consumption in MPG (l/100km) and CO₂ emissions (g/km) for the 308 Hybrid are: Combined 48.5(5.8) - 62.6(4.5) and CO₂ 118 - 131g/km.

How does the WLTP work?

The range of an electric car according to the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is measured under standardised laboratory conditions. The test simulates a mixed route including city, road, and highway driving, with variations in speed and acceleration.

It lasts 30 minutes and covers about 14 miles, with a controlled temperature of around 23°C. The range is calculated by measuring energy consumption (kWh/100 km) and the total battery capacity. However, in real-world conditions, factors such as weather, driving style, and air conditioning use can reduce this range.
