The popular Peugeot 208 & E-208 have been updated with new designs, powertrain, and technologies. Building on the success of the 208 as Europe's best-selling car last year, Peugeot has decided to give it an upgrade. Discover more about the 208 & E-208 below.

Design

New Peugeot front light signature: The three long vertical claws integrate with the gloss black inserts of the bumper, creating an intense appearance. To give the 208 a broader look, the lights have been shifted to the edge of the bumper. New 208 models will feature the front light signature. GT versions take it a step further with enhanced LED headlamps, extending the front light signature into the headlamps for an even more striking effect.

A front end with a new look: The all-new front end proudly displays the brand's new logo, bringing the 208 into the new generation of Peugeot vehicles. The grille features an evolving body-coloured pattern that now extends further into the bumper. The rear end of the new design exudes a commanding appearance, with a redesigned rear light signature featuring three individual red claws arranged horizontally.

Striking new colours: In the images of the E-208, you'll notice the stunning new yellow exterior finish. The new 208 offers a choice of seven body colours, including two new colours: Agueda Yellow and Selenium Grey. Additionally, you can choose from Cumulus Grey, Nera Black, Bianca White, Elixir Red, and Vertigo Blue. All seven colours are available across all 208 models, and gloss black door mirrors are a standard feature. The GT variant comes with gloss black wheel arches as standard.

New wheel designs: Alloy wheels have a significant impact on the overall design of a car, and the new 208 offers two striking designs to complement its appearance. Allure trim comes with 16-inch "NOMA" diamond-cut two-tone wheels, while GT features 17-inch 'YANAKA' diamond-cut two-tone wheels with inserts.

Elegant new fabrics: PEUGEOT has refreshed the interior ambience across all trims with new fabrics and stitching. GT variants introduce a new optional seat fabric featuring Black Alcantara® with Adamite Green stitching, which matches the Adamite Green stitching on the dashboard.

Powertrains

Improved electric range: The best-selling E-208 now comes with the new 115kW (156bhp) electric motor and a 51kWh battery, capable of providing up to 248 miles of range between charges (WLTP certification under approval). All E-208 models come with a standard 7.4kW single-phase charger, and an optional three-phase 11kW charger is also available. Charging from 20% to 80% is estimated to take less than 25 minutes when using a 100kW rapid charger, or around 4 hours and 40 minutes when using a 7.4kW charger.

New Hybrid Powertrains: For the first time, the Peugeot 208 is available with two new 48V Hybrid powertrains, featuring the latest-generation PureTech 100bhp and 136bhp petrol engines combined with the e-DSC6 dual-clutch electrified six-speed automatic gearbox, which includes an electric motor. Thanks to a battery that recharges during driving, this technology offers extra torque at low revs and up to 15% lower fuel consumption. In urban driving, the new 208 Hybrid 100 and Hybrid 136 can operate in 100% zero-emission electric mode for more than 50% of the time.

Efficient petrol engines: The Peugeot 208 still offers Peugeot's efficient petrol engines, with a choice of two configurations: the PureTech 75 with a five-speed manual gearbox and the PureTech 100 with a six-speed manual gearbox.

More powerful wireless charging: Wireless charging has become increasingly popular, and GT models now come with an upgraded 15W wireless charger as standard (an improvement from the 5W charger). This is also available as an option on Allure models.

High-definition parking camera: Rear cameras are essential for helping you park your car. The  208 is equipped with a new high-definition image rear camera, as well as front and rear parking cameras. Depending on the trim level, 360° camera technology is also available.
