Day's Motor Group – Distance Sales – When you have not visited one of our sites to purchase a Used Vehicle
For reasons of fraud prevention, we are only able to deliver to your home address and prior to arranging delivery we will require a proof of your current address to be sent to us. This proof can be any of the following (driving licence/bank statement/utility bill - this must be dated within the last 90 days). On occasion we may be able to deliver to a Day's Rental location in your locality and meet you there. We are only able to offer delivery within Mainland UK and delivery charges for the service will apply, details of cost will be communicated by the selling Motorpark location.
Delivery of your vehicle will take place at an agreed time to your home address within the mainland of the UK. Should you, for any reason, be unable to sign/accept this delivery on the agreed day then you will be liable for both the cost of delivery and return at £1.50 per mile (plus VAT).
Upon receipt of your vehicle it is imperative that you fully inspect its physical condition. Once you have signed to accept the vehicle we unfortunately cannot accept liability for any damage which was not noted when the vehicle is signed for and agreed for by yourself at delivery.
We can only deliver to your home address and you must be present at time of delivery as no other person can sign for the vehicle on your behalf. The delivery driver will need you to provide your driving licence as proof of ID. Should we arrange to meet you at a Days Rental location, proof of ID will still be required.
Please note that the following terms and conditions apply to Day's Motor Group Used Vehicle Home Delivery:
- Where you have not visited the Day's site in person and signed for the vehicle you are entitled to a “cooling off period” in which you can change your mind. This period begins from the day it is delivered to you and is valid for 14 days.
- If you wish to return your vehicle then we must be notified in writing within this 14-day period. Upon receipt of your request, we will contact you to acknowledge receipt and make arrangements for your order to be cancelled. We will endeavor to find a suitable replacement from our extensive stock, however if this is not possible the following will apply.
- We cannot accept to exchange / refund a car if it has been modified or altered from the condition it was received in.
- The vehicle must not have covered any more than 250 miles before we are notified of your intention to return the vehicle. We will require a photograph of the mileage at the point of notification to verify the mileage covered.
- If the car has been in an accident or is damaged, we will not be able to accept the car as a return.
- If you have committed any motoring offences such as speeding / any other motoring offence or collected any parking fines during your period of ownership then you will be liable for any penalty points and fines associated with these offences.
- The car must be returned to us within 48 hours of us acknowledging your rejection request. Any extension to this period will be at our discretion and additional charges may be incurred.
- No refund will be made until the vehicle has been inspected and signed for by a member of our team. If we intend to make any deductions from your final refund amount, then you will be made aware of that amount prior to the refund.
Your refund will be made within 14 days of the vehicle being returned to us. This 14-day period will begin from the day we sign to accept the return of the vehicle to our premises.
No refund will be made until the vehicle has been inspected and signed for by a member of our team. If we intend to make any deductions from your final refund amount, then you will be made aware of that amount prior to the refund.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
