Annual charity golf day in support of the Gareth Day Foundation

The annual charity golf day hosted at Pontardawe Golf Club made a welcome return this year. The day saw 23 teams come together to raise over £9,000 in support of the Gareth Day Foundation which was matched by Day's Motor Group totaling an incredible £19,600. The Gareth Day Foundation has been set up to commemorate the life of Gareth Day, son of the Chairman of Day's Motor Group, Mr. Graham Day. 

The event was fantastically organized, with breakfast rolls and a selection of superb lunch choices for all participants.

23 teams took on the Pontardawe golf course, with Neath Brickworks finishing first with an impressive score of 95.

The course was in fantastic condition and an excellent test for all the players, with an exciting opportunity to win a car on our themed 14th hole. Prizes were awarded for the teams in 1st and 2nd place, a raffle and an auction held at the end of the day for all participants including a 43" Samsung frame TV, Swansea football tickets, premium golf accessories and more.

9 of the holes were sponsored by 7 different businesses;

Day's Fleet, VFS, Mark Williams Groundworks, Oyster Bay Systems, Wessex garages, JT Motorcycles and Day's Rental.
