Good for Downpours, The Vector 4Seasons

With the weather being unpredictable in the UK you can be having a heatwave one day and then raining the next so it's hard to know which type of tyres would suit best.

But what about all-season tyres? These combine the benefits of both summer and winter tyres to deliver a tyre fit for all weather.

Summer tyres do well during the warmer months as they’re built for temperatures over 7 degrees, similarly winter tyres should be used once the temperature drops below 7 degrees.  However, If the temperature where you live doesn’t drop below -5 then all season tyres are for you.

There are many parts of the UK where the winter weather is not severe enough to warrant the use of winter tyres, therefore all season tyres seem the perfect choice. All season tyres are a great compromise between summer and winter tyres, as well as a cost efficient alternative to switching.

Find the perfect tyre for you and the weather conditions in your area:

Summer Tyres (above 7°C) All season (All year round) Winter Tyres (below 7°C)
Driving Performance Designed for excellent performance during the warmer months. High tread elasticity and flexibility ensures a smooth ride.  Consistent tyre performance in all weather conditions and all year round. All season tyres combine the characteristics of both summer and winter tyres to provide good performance all year round.  Provides optimum grip in cold, wet or snowy conditions. In temperatures below 7°C.
On the road  Excellent, dry and wet traction in the warmer months. Short braking distances in dry and wet conditions. Good performance throughout the year. Unique compounds work to maintain elasticity in cold weather, providing better grip and control in adverse conditions. Excellent grip and short braking distances on wet roads, snow and ice. Excellent accelerating, cornering and braking performance in temperatures below 7°C.
Technology Less aggressive tread patterns that result in lower friction and improved fuel efficiency in the summer months.  Specially design tread pattern that consists of multiple sipes to provide extra aquaplaning resistance and to keep you safe in heavy downpours. A flexible compound that ensures optimum grip and traction at low temperatures and extra sipes provide efficient water dispersal to avoid aquaplaning.
Overall Excellent performance in the summer, whatever the weather. Increased wear in colder conditions can cause the compounds to stiffen and crack along the sidewall, so we recommend you change to winter tyres in temperatures below 7°C. Designed to be able to cope in mild wintry conditions, as well as offering excellent performance in the warmer months. However, if you do live in a more rural area where the build of rain and snow is more severe, winter tyres may be more suitable.  Designed for when the temperature drops below 7°C. Winter tyres lack grip and traction in summer and wear out more quickly.
